Police Blotter: Teen Runs into Hazelwood West Activity Bus

Sept. 3
Lost License Plate: A license plate was reported as lost in theΒ 6500 block ofΒ Serenity Circle.

Drug ParaphernaliaΒ Possession: A person was arrested forΒ drug paraphernalia during a theft investigation in theΒ 1500 block ofΒ Pontmain.

Violation of Order of Protection: A person was served a restraining order in theΒ 8700 block ofΒ Santa Bella. That personΒ violated the order later that day byΒ calling the person victim.

Identity Theft: A person in theΒ 2200 block ofΒ Riverwood Trails reported that someoneΒ attempted to get social security benefits over the Internet using their name.

Third-DegreeΒ Assault: A teenage boy was assaulted by two teenage girls in theΒ 7000 block Riderwood when he got off the bus.

Domestic Assault: A man was arrested for assaulting his wife in theΒ 7000 Β block ofΒ Marlac.

Sept. 4
Stealing: A resident was reported for stealingΒ Charter cable services for the past three months in the 8600 block ofΒ Brittany Town.

Vehicle Accident: AΒ Hazelwood West High School student rear-ended one of the school'sΒ activity buses. No injuries were reported from 17 students on bus or the driver. The students in the car also reported being OK.Β A Hazelwood West High SchoolΒ assistant principal and district security responded to scene. Β Two district buses also arrivedΒ and transported children home. The teenage driver was ticketed for driving too close.Β 

Attempted Suicide: A woman in theΒ 8400 block ofΒ Jacklin Ct., reported that herΒ 46-yr-old husband had been drinking and went into basement. She said sheΒ went to check on him and he had placed a belt around ceiling beam and his neck and was strangling himself. Β She cut him down with scissors. Β The man wasΒ transported to Depaul Health CareΒ for mental evaluation.Β
