Beat the Heat with St. Louis County SAVES Programβ€”If your home isn’t quite energy efficient and you’d like to save on your energy bills, you need to know about the St. Louis County SAVES Program. According to County administrator Anne Klein, the program offers homeowners β€œthe ability to increase the energy efficiency of their homes by replacing inefficient furnaces and air conditioning units, increasing insulation and replacing leaky windows.” Β 

No More Bullying Event at St. Louis Millsβ€”On August 4, will host β€œNo More Bullying.” ItΒ  is an event featuring anti-bullying guest speakers, interactive games, prize giveaways, an autograph signing by Rams Alumni, and information for families to learn about the early signs and symptoms of bullying within their children’s schools.

STLCC Receives EPA Grant for Drinking Water Operator Trainingβ€” The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $181,638 to St. Louis Community College to conduct drinking water operator training. STLCC will work with Missouri American Water and Missouri Rural Water Association to provide trainers and facilities.

Athletic Physicals Available July 18 at STLCCβ€”Prospective and current St. Louis Community College student-athletes can get their sports physicals at the college’s Kirkwood road location next week.

Marketplace of Ideas Showcases Solutions to Address Needs of North St. Louis Children and Familiesβ€” The six Marketplace of Ideas finalists demonstrated Tuesday how small community grants will be used to turn honey, sweet potatoes and lawn mowers into jobs for teens, as well as to teach them strategies for healthy eating and reducing violence among their peers.Β
