Support Dogs, Inc. will host its fifth annual "Dogs in the Ruff!" golf tournament on Fri., May 16 with registration and lunch beginning at noon and tee time at 1 p.m. The event, which includes an 18-hole four-person scramble, will be held at the Norman K. Probstein Golf Course located at 6141 Lagoon Drive in Forest Park. The fund raiser also includes golf with cart, dinner, complimentary beverages, and a silent auction.
Support Dogs is a national non-profit organization that offers dignity, hope and independence by providing highly skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely trained dogs to serve the community. Founded in 1983, the organization provides many services including an Assistance Dog program which matches people with various disabilities with a canine partner, a pet visitation therapy dog program called TOUCH (Therapy of Unique Canine Helpers), and a Paws For Reading program that places dogs in classrooms. Support Dogs is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
