Support Dogs To Host Tenth Annual Tacky Ball

Non-profit organization celebrates "Dogs at Work: Building a Future".

Support Dogs, Inc. will host its tenth annual “Tacky Ball” with this year’s theme “Dogs at Work: Building a Future” on Sat., April 18 from 6 to 11 p.m. The working-themed event, which references the organization’s upcoming move to its new headquarters, will be held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront located at 315 Chestnut Street in downtown St. Louis. The evening will include dinner, live and silent auctions, raffle and dancing to music by My Friend Mike. Proceeds from the Tacky Ball will benefit all programs and activities at Support Dogs.

Co-chairs for the Tacky Ball are Ken and Sharon Johnson. Presenting sponsors are Nestlé Purina PetCare and Thompson Street Capital Partners. Dinner sponsors include Ameren, Moneta Group, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Support Dogs, Inc. is a national non-for-profit organization that offers dignity, hope and independence by providing highly skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely trained dogs to serve the community. Founded in 1983, the organization provides many services including an Assistance Dog program which matches people with various disabilities with a canine partner, a pet visitation therapy dog program called TOUCH (Therapy of Unique Canine Helpers), and a Paws For Reading program that places dogs in classrooms. Support Dogs is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
