Verizon Cloud is a backup storage service that allows you to sync and securely save your important photos, videos, contacts, music, call logs and even text messages β in short, your digital βstuff.β
βPeople use their smartphones more than cameras and the number one benefit of Verizon Wirelessβ cloud service is you donβt lose your pictures and videos,β says Matt Hagert, district manager for Verizon Wireless in Minnesota. βAlso, when consumers go from device to device, all of their content is saved and easily transferred.β

Hereβs what you need to know about Verizonβs personal cloud service:
- Verizon Cloud is compatible with most Android smartphones, tablets and iOS devices.
- You need to download the Verizon Cloud app to your smartphone or tablet.
- Open the app, choose the content you want to back up in the settings menu (consider selecting the Wi-Fi-only option for syncing to help save on data usage). You can even put your Verizon Cloud backups on autopilot to keep all of your cloud-connected devices in sync.
- To access your information from your computer, download theΒ Verizon Cloud desktop application.
- Your Verizon Cloud account is tied to your individual mobile number. No one else on your account, including the account owner, can sign in without your password.
- VerizonΒ MORE EverythingΒ customers get 25 GB of storage, and those not on MORE Everything plans receive 5 GB. For a monthly fee, you can purchase up to 125 GB of additional cloud storage. A dashboard in the app tracks how many GBs youβve used.
- Most devices using older apps such as Backup Assistant Plus are now eligible to upgrade to the latest version of Verizon Cloud.
