• Supreme Court Blocks Trump-Backed Missouri Electoral Map Again (mundonow.com) — Kansas City–area voters will now cast November ballots using the 2022 congressional districts, after the U.S. Supreme Court again blocked Missouri's newer Trump-backed map that reshaped the metro. The ruling follows a state referendum fight and conflicting lower-court decisions, and could influence which party controls a key Missouri House seat.
   

• Town Center Plaza Desperately Seeking MILLIONS In Taxpayer Makeover Cash (tonyskansascity.com) — Shoppers from across the Kansas City metro could pay a new 1% sales tax at Leawood's Town Center Plaza and Town Center Crossing, as the centers' owners seek public help for an exterior makeover. Federal Realty pitched the long-running CID tax to Leawood's city council, which discussed but did not yet vote on the plan.
