Managers credit Patrick Mahomes and the team's success with drawing both locals and out-of-town fans seeking a lively game-day atmosphere, and they expect business to stay strong as long as the playoff hunt continues.
3. Scare-seekers arrive at Kansas City's iconic West Bottoms haunted attractions (fox4kc.com) — Kansas City's famed West Bottoms haunted houses, The Edge of Hell and The Beast, are now open for the season and drawing visitors from across the country. Local fans say the theatrical scares and long-running tradition make these attractions a must-do Halloween outing, with nights running through Oct. 31 and additional Macabre Cinema pop-up experiences planned.
