2. 33-story apartment complex, hotel proposed in Crossroads takes additional steps forward (kctv5.com) — A 33-story apartment tower and adjacent hotel planned along I-35 across from the Kauffman Center are moving closer to construction, reshaping Kansas City's Crossroads skyline. The project, already rezoned by City Council, will displace longtime business XS Lighting and Sound while aiming to boost neighborhood residents, attract new shops, and significantly change views of downtown by 2029.
3. Kansas City releases economic development study for downtown Royals stadium (kshb.com) — Kansas City leaders have released an economic development study projecting $1.4 billion in tax revenue from a proposed downtown Royals stadium near 25th and Gillham, with the city pledging $600 million toward the $1.9 billion project. A council committee will publicly review the financing details and rezoning around Crown Center this week, while residents and fans remain divided over using public money for the ballpark move.
4.
