We are people of the Covenant, the Covenant God made with Abraham
and Sarah, the Covenant to which God has remained faithful no matter how often we fail. That Covenant is the framework within which we live and forms how we are to respond to each other, especially when we do not agree or are in
conflict. Because we are uncomfortable with conflict, we struggle to listen
effectively and to “speak the truth in love.” During the first four weeks of
March, we will learn about models for interpersonal communication and for
corporate communication when conversations become difficult. What does covenant require of us when we are in conflict? How can these communication models support us during difficult conversations? Rev. Dorothy Gannon, Chaplain at
Bethesda Hospice Care, will guide us through these discussions. All are welcome to join us, 10:45 - 11:45 am, in the Adult Education room.
