Kirkwood Rotary Community Ramble Fundraising Initiative for Kirkwood Parents as Teachers
The Kirkwood Rotary is hosting a ramble to benefit educational and youth programs around the community, including the KSD Parents As Teachers (PAT) program. PAT is an early childhood parent education and family support program serving families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten, usually age 5. Because of fundraisers such as the ramble, families who live in the District receive free services including personal visits, group meetings and developmental, vision and hearing screenings for their child.
The ramble takes place Saturday, May 12, 2012 and all races begin and end at the Kirkwood Park Aquatic Center, 111 South Geyer Road. Race options include a 10K, 5K or 1-mile fun run/walk. Registration includes a t-shirt, water stations, “ChronoTrack” race chip technology and fresh fruit and yogurt at the conclusion of the race. Following the race, an awards presentation and party will take place in the pavilion at the park. Awards will be distributed to top male and female overall winners and the top three male and female winners in each age group. To register, click HERE.
