North Glendale Hosts Construction Wrap-Up Celebration

North Glendale has been under construction since June 2011.  Major construction is now complete and school projects include a new gymnasium, cafeteria and additional classrooms that will allow North Glendale kindergarten students to attend their home school for the first time in over 15 years.

In November 2010, nearly 60 percent of Kirkwood School District voters approved the passage of Prop 1, a $33.5 million bond issue that will provide improved science classrooms and other renovations at both middle schools; kindergarten at every elementary school; additional gyms/cafeterias at North Glendale, Robinson and Keysor; improved security by centralizing office locations at Robinson and Keysor; and new Library Media Centers at Robinson and Keysor.  Construction began in June 2011 and all projects will be finished by the first day of school, August 21, 2012.
