The First Congregational Church of Webster Groves, United Church of Christ, 10 W. Lockwood Ave. (at Elm), will host "PEACE BE UPON YOU!" on Sunday, September 11, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m.
"PEACE BE UPON YOU!" is an interfaith exploration of common purpose and collaboration, moving us from tolerance to empathy. The event includes workshops and other activities for all ages.
The day's keynote will be delivered by Dr. Khaled Abdul Hamid - noted speaker and creator of the weblog Khaled Hamid Forum: Just some thoughts of an American Muslim on Politics, Religion, and Muslim Community Issues (www.KhaledHamid.com).
Workshops begin at 4:00 p.m., for ages 4 to 104. Childcare will be available throughout the event for attendees under 4 years of age.
A casual dinner will be served at no charge, at 6:00 p.m.
