Quince Contemporary Vocal Ensemble will perform on Tuesday, April 17, 2 p.m., at St. Louis Community College-Meramec, 11333 Big Bend Road in the Meramec Theatre. Recently described as "a new force of vocal excellence and innovation" by The Brooklyn Rail, Quince Contemporary Vocal Ensemble pushes the boundaries of traditional vocal ensemble literature. In its third season, Quince will travel to Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri and feature composers Amanda Feery, Jamie Leigh Sampson, David Lang, John Cage, Eve Beglarian, Jonathan Sokol, Morgan Krauss, Lisa Bielawa, Maria Grigoryeva, and their own arrangements of folk songs and hymns.
