Family of Deceased 23-Year-Old Sues Des Peres Hospital, Former Surgeon
The family alleges the defendants carelessly failed to properly diagnose, treat and operate on their son's medical condition.
According to St. Louis business news and gossip site WhoLou.net, the family of Robert Danieli filed suit on April 30 in St. Louis County against Dr. Faisal Albanna and alleging medical negligence regarding Danieli's 2009 death while a patient of Albanna’s at the hospital.
John and Jane Danieli, the parents of Robert Danieli, allege that previous to Des Peres Hospital granting Albanna staff privileges, St. Anthony’s Medical Center in South County terminated Albanna’s privileges following a mutual agreement. They also allege Albanna was unable to obtain staff privileges at any hospital other than Des Peres.
Des Peres Hospital spokesperson Simone Valle told WhoLou.net that Albanna has not had staff privileges at Des Peres Hospital since last August.
