The Facts
Clay and Cotton began in March 2004 when David Schreiner and Margaret Taylor opened their first store in Louisville, KY.
Schreiner says he first became involved with Clay and Cotton in an effort to "practice skills in marketing and branding."
In March 2007, a second location in Louisville was opened, and on July 1, 2010, the Clay and Cotton in Kirkwood opened under Schreiner's ownership.
"Kirkwood deserves a place that's a more upscale house of color, a place where clothing and home decor come together," Scheiner said.
On September 22, Clay and Cotton will be partnering with and for a fashion show in their shared courtyard.
