Fashion Friday: Daisy Clover Boutique in Webster Groves

The women's clothing boutique has some great summer looks.

The Fashion

in Webster Groves carries a wide selection of casual clothing, from jeans and tees to cute dresses. You can accessorize your look with the jewelry and accessories they sell or with pieces from Scratch Boutique, which is located in the back of the store.

For a great everyday look with a few pops of color for summer, try a pair of Joe's Jeans ($168) with a white Lilla P three-quarter-sleeved tee ($82), a yellow Urban Expressions bag ($90), gold Sara Patino earrings ($58, from Scratch), a camelian JK bracelet ($65, from Scratch) and a multi-colored ikat scarf ($45).

White jeans are in this summer, and Daisy Clover has a pair of skinny Paige Verdugo ones ($164) that look great with a blue Lilla P blouse ($140) and Jane's Gems layering necklaces (starting at $16 each).

If you're looking for a pair of cropped jeans, Daisy Clover has you covered. A pair of Paige Venice cropped jeans ($192) looks great with an off-white Feel the Piece top ($99), a Scarlett Garnet necklace ($82, from Scratch) and a gold multi-stone ring ($30).

If you're looking for a little black (or little blue) dress, Daisy Clover has ones that are perfect for dressing up or dressing down.

Blue is one of the essential colors of summer 2011. A blue Karina wrap dress ($180) paired with a white tank, a vintage white and gold bracelet ($38, from Scratch), Kris Nations gold-plated feather earrings ($70) and a yellow Urban Expressions clutch ($65) is a fun and colorful look.

If you want something more simple, go for the Lilla P version of the little black dress ($120) with a Torre Designs statement necklace ($120, from Scratch) and a set of pearl bangles ($65).

The Facts

Owner Natalie Woods says that her shop, which opened seven years ago, specifically focuses on clothing for everyday use.

"When I opened, there were no clothing stores in Webster," Woods said. "I thought it would be good to open a store that focuses on casual wear, especially jeans and tees. We specialize in finding women their perfect pair of jeans."

Woods has always had an interest in fashion and business, the latter of which stemmed from her father, who was also a small business owner.

"I knew the basics from my dad," Woods said of why she thought she could handle running her own business.

That knowledge, paired with her minor in marketing at Central Michigan University, is the technical aspect of what Woods says keeps her business going.

One of the most recent changes to Daisy Clover is the addition of Scratch Boutique, which provides a venue for local artists to sell their handmade goods, in the rear of the store.

"We moved in about a year and a half ago," said Kathy Torre-Stewart, who owns Scratch.

The two boutiques seem to compliment each other well, as evidenced by the looks in the photo gallery.
