Jennie Annie's in Webster Groves carries a variety of cool and casual summer clothing that is perfect for beating the balmy temperatures.

If you're in need of a casual, comfortable and stylish outfit, try out a beige Mine top ($49.99), a white DownEast tank ($14.99), a pair of brown Young at Heart leggings ($19.99) and a pair of rhinestone-studded Volatile platform sandals ($54.99).

The Facts

Owner Jenny McTearnen opened the Farmington location of Jennie Annie's in 2003 as a gift shop.

"It was started on a whim, but it worked out pretty well," said Stefanie Mason, manager of the Webster Groves location.

The store in the Old Webster neighborhood opened in May 2010, after McTearnen's husband, a Webster Groves fireman, noticed the vacant space. It was around the same time that McTearnen decided to expand the items at her stores to include women's clothing.

"Webster's just a good community," Mason said as to why Webster Groves is a good spot for Jennie Annie's. "They like to support small businesses, and there aren't many clothing stores in the area."

Up next for Jennie Annie's will be the back-to-school sale at the beginning of August.
