Fashion Friday: Paperdolls Boutique in Kirkwood

The women's clothing shop has tons of great looks to transition from summer to fall.

The Fashion

in Kirkwood is a great one-stop shop to pull together current and stylish looks for women. Right now, they have a variety of options available, including clothing that provides a perfect transition from summer to fall.

Printed and patterned dresses are in demand this year, and Paperdolls intern Jordan Montgomery modeled three cute ones. First up is a Tracy Negoshian navy, white and pink life preserver printed shift dress ($128), which is ready for summer when paired with a gold tribal cuff ($38), a white Big Buddha Bahama bag ($95) and Tracy Reese bone "Zoe" heels ($139).

Next is a BB Dakota green, yellow and blue printed dress ($84) that looks great with mixed metal skinny bangles ($32) and a pair of Tracy Reese black "Jo" kitten heels ($119).

The third dress is an Audrey long-sleeved white crocheted lace dress ($59) that goes perfectly with a sterling silver and black sapphire cameo necklace ($140), a strand of freshwater pearls ($50), a black Big Buddha tuxedo satchel ($90) and Tracy Reese black "Zavier" shoes ($149).

Paperdolls also offers separates that will take you from summer to fall.

A light pink long pleated skirt ($90) and a black lace top ($40) make a stunning pair, especially when accessorized with a vintage inspired ring ($18) and a bone and rhinestone pendant necklace ($26).

For a more casual look, head to Paperdolls for a grey Red Haute top ($84) and black IT Denim ultra skinny jeans ($78), which look great with a turquoise necklace ($32), Vanessa Swarovski Piedra crystal bracelets ($40-128) and Naughty Monkey "Beethoven" sandals ($68).

The Facts

Paperdolls originally opened in downtown St. Louis seven years ago. In opening the boutique, owner Carolyn Burghoff, who was working as a nurse, was looking for a job that would allow her to have more time to spend with her children.

"What started as a fun venture has turned into a real business," Burghoff said.

Owners Burghoff and Beth Morris opened a second location in Kirkwood in 2007 on Clay Avenue (where Blush Boutique is now).

"I lived in Kirkwood at the time and thought it would be great for our store," Burghoff said.

In 2008, they closed the St. Louis store and moved to their current location at 110 E. Jefferson Ave.

Up next for Paperdolls is a big (cash-only) sidewalk sale this Saturday and their third annual , which will benefit the Children's Tumor Foundation, on July 29. More information about Paperdolls can be found on their Facebook page.
