Spend a delightful morning hike learning about the local geology of Kirkwood and Missouri at Meramec Highlands Quarry. The site is the historic quarry listed in the National Register of Historic Places for its geological discoveries. Many of the large stones and spoils are still on site which provide a view of the unique geology and fossils of the area. An experienced geologist will guide us. Bring hiking shoes and weather-appropriate gear. Held rain or shine. FREE and open to all ages. Meet in the Parking lot on Marshall road.
