Purses, Liquor Stolen During Kirkwood Home Burglaries
A Kirkwood resident believes her garage door opener may have been used in one of the break-ins to access her home.

July 5:Β
At 10:42 a.m.,Β police received a report of a residential burglary in the 1300 block of N Geyer. A resident saidΒ her garage door remote was taken from her vehicle and was possibly used to gain entry to theΒ residence. A duffel bag containing bottles of liquor that was in the originally in theΒ basement was recovered at the end of the driveway.

July 4:
At 3:51 a.m., police were calledΒ to the 1200 block of Rockridge Place for a burglary. The resident, who was home at the time, said theΒ back door was forced open and two pursesΒ that were sitting on the kitchen table were stolen.
July 1 - July 7:
Kirkwood Police arrested five adults for shoplifting merchandise from area businesses during this week.Β The incidents occurred at a retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road. Four of the cases were referred to municipal court while the fifth was charged with stealing third offense and released pending application of warrant at the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorneyβs Office.Β
