Legal Services Of Eastern Missouri's Cheryl Rafert To Receive "Champions Of Change" Award From Women's Place

Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s (LSEM) staff attorney Cheryl Rafert will receive a “Champions of Change” award from Woman’s Place – a non-residential drop-in center for women struggling with relationship abuse in the St. Louis area.
Rafert will be honored on October 2 during the annual Women’s Place Iris Ball at St. Francis Xavier College Church in St. Louis.
Rafert is being recognized for her remarkable record of achievement through her role as an attorney in LSEM’s Lasting Solutions Family Law Program providing effective legal representation and advocacy for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, as well as her commitment and dedication to the community. Prior to joining LSEM’s Lasting Solutions Program in 2009, Rafert worked more than 20 years in public service advocating on behalf of domestic violence victims. LSEM’s Lasting Solutions Family Law Program provides holistic services to domestic violence survivors that includes legal representation as well as social service referrals and case management.
