Meacham Park Hosts Homecoming Saturday
This will be the homecoming's 39th year celebration.
Starting at 11 a.m. this Saturday, the Meacham Park neighborhood will hosts its 39th annual homecoming. The event will feature a parade, live music and street-vendors.
“It’s just basically a community gathering for past and present residents of Meacham park,” said Edythe Richey, one of the event’s organizers. “It a way to bring our community together.”
Richey said she expects attendance at Saturday’s homecoming may increase due to the expected temperatures of 77 degrees that day.
Richey also said she expects more people from the Kirkwood community outside of Meacham Park attend the event.
“We have seen some increase in the past years, but we would like to see a lot more coming and getting involved in our events,” Richey said.
