Kirkwood Library Website Gets Makeover

Here's how a revamp will make it easier for residents to connect with the community resource.

Kirkwoodpubliclibrary.org is getting a makeover. The revamped website will make it easier to connect with the library.

On every page we will have our slideshow of upcoming events with small thumbnails showing the image and information for each slide. On each page we will also have links to our catalog, Facebook page, Twitter, Overdrive, Zinio, blogs, and summer reading logs. These changes will make it easy to get to those pages used most often.

Our calendar of events will be completely new. Events that require sign up will now have a hyperlink placed directly into the details of the event and you will be able to add events to your own Google calendar.

New widgets will be added to our database collection so that Consumer Reports, WorldBook Online, and EbscoHost can be searched more quickly than ever before. The website will be launching soon.

Please don't hesitate to let us know what you think or ask questions. You can contact us by phone at 314-821-5770, emai webmaster@kirkwoodpubliclibrary.org or leave a comment below.
