Purses Stolen from Vehicles in Kirkwood

Monday, Aug. 5:
- At 8:02 a.m. police were dispatched to a residence inΒ the 300 block of North Fillmore for a theft report. Two wooden Adirondack chairsΒ were stolen from the front porch of the residence the previous evening. Β
Wednesday, Aug. 7:
- Officers were summoned to anΒ apartment in the 1300 block of Timberview at 1:45 a.m.Β for a destruction of property report. AΒ neighbor reported hearing a loud noises and glass breaking. Officers arrived andΒ discovered a broken sliding glass door to an apartment. No entry was made toΒ the vacant apartment. Β
Friday, Aug. 9:
- Police received a report of a stolen purse from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of North Taylor at 9:11 a.m. The victim left her purse on the front seat of the vehicle. A window on the vehicle was broken out toΒ access the purse. Β A few minutes later, at 9:17 a.m. a second purse was reportedΒ stolen in the 300 block of South Kirkwood Road. The second theft also involved aΒ broken vehicle window and a purse left visible inside the vehicle.
