Rohan Woods School Celebrates Arbor Day in Warson Woods
Rohan Woods School, Where Leadership and Academics Meet, Celebrates Arbor Day in Warson Woods, Missouri, with an Essay Winner!
Rohan Woods, a small, independent elementary school serving age 2-grade 6, celebrated Arbor Day in Warson Woods with the presentation of a Flowering Ornamental tree to the winner of the 2015 Essay Contest Winner, Fifth Grader - Ryan Deemer.
Ms. Sam Page, Head of School, opened the ceremony by introducing our guests and leading the school in the pledge of allegiance. Then Mr. Gordon Gosh; Warson Woods Arborist, Park Commissioner and Alderman for the ward that includes Rohan Woods School, gave a welcome address and introduced Mr. Mark Grueber, Urban Forester from the Missouri Department of Conservation who presented the tree to Rohan Woods School in honor of the winner of the 2015 Essay Contest Winner.
In closing this ceremony, Alderman Gosh proclaimed April 8, 2016 as Arbor Day in Warson Woods and celebrated Rohan Woods School participation in the City's 26th Year as a "Tree City USA."
