Workshop Feb. 6: "Day in the life" of a trial attorney

St. Louis attorney Bill Smith discusses a "day in the life" of a trial attorney to help writers whose stories include lawyers.

If you’re writing a story that includes a lawyer, don’t miss the Feb. 6 workshop featuring William B. Smith III of Dubail Judge St. Louis business law attorneys, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Kirkwood Community Center, 111 S. Geyer Rd, Kirkwood, Mo. Free to St. Louis Writers Guild members, $5 for nonmembers.

He’ll discuss “a day in the life” of a trial attorney, and you’ll have the chance to ask questions. Smith’s practice areas include corporate law, real estate law, personal injury, civil litigation (federal and state courts) and employment law.

A St. Louis native, he earned his law degree from St. Louis University and was admitted to the Bar in 1966 in Missouri, the U.S. Court of Appeals, the Eighth Circuit, and U.S. Court of Military Appeals. He served as a Captain, J.A.G.C., in the U.S. Army from 1966-1970.

He was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court (1970), the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri (1979), U.S. Court of Claims (1979), and U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit (1979).
