Community Input Sought Regarding Ladue School District's Next Superintendent

Residents of the Ladue School District are invited to participate in the selection of the next superintendent of Ladue Schools by attending one of two Community Forums being held next week. McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, the firm selected by the Board of Education to assist in the search and interview process for the next superintendent, will facilitate the events aimed at identifying the characteristics, skills and knowledge the community believes to be essential for the district’s next superintendent.

Community members unable to attend either event will also have an opportunity to provide input. Immediately following the event on January 9, 2013, a link will be provided on the home page of the district’s website. Using this link, community members will be able to anonymously submit their thoughts, ideas and opinions directly to McPherson & Jacobson, LLC.  All of the information gathered through the event and the website will be shared with the Board of Education and used by both the Board and McPherson & Jacobson, LLC as they screen and interview potential candidates.

Also as part of the preparation for interviewing candidates, McPherson & Jacobson will be conducting smaller focus groups of teachers, students, administrators and other staff members.  This information will also be used by the Board and McPherson & Jacobson, LLC in screening candidates.

The Board anticipates interviewing final candidates in late February and selecting the district’s next superintendent by late February or early March, 2013.
