Summer Conditioning Programs for Athletes- What is your athlete doing to prepare for fall sports?
All too often we see "crammers". Athletes who did almost no conditioning work all summer and then try and cram it all in the two weeks prior to two-a-days or their sports pre-season workout schedule! Some athletes can pull this off, but most end up struggling and really not being as prepared as they should have been. Their risk of injury goes up and the potential of reaching top performance early in the season is lessened. It might take half the season to be conditioned enough to play at a high level for four quarters. By then, your coaches are probably dissapointed in your efforts and your playing time might go down. We want to know what area athletes are doing this summer to stay in shape and enhance their skills (speed/agility/quickness/hand:eye coordination) for their fall sports! Make sure you sneek a little fun into your summer as well! Let us know what your athlete is up to!
