Cards Owner Passes Away

Cardinals Team Treasurer Drew Baur, Dead at Age 66

In a report on the St. Louis Cardinals website, and reported by www.mlb.com, St. Louis Cardinals team owner Andrew N. "Drew" Baur, 66, has passed away. In a statement relesased by the Cardinals organization, Chairman Bill DeWitt, Jr.said "We have lost a wonderful friend, and we are deeply saddened by his sudden passing. Drew loved the Cardinals and was a great partner. He will be sorely missed by all the members of our ownership group."

At the time of his passing, Baur resided in Ladue. He is suvived by his mother Florence and three children, Andrew, Todd and McKay and seven grand children.

Baur was a native St. Louisan and one of the club's directors since 1996. He was also a former chairman of Southwest Bank. He was a graduate of Country Day School (MICDS), Washington & Lee University, Lexington Va. and held an MBA from George State University.
