Cupid's Undie Run, the World's Largest Organized Underwear Run, is an International Success Story with Races in 38 Cities Across the Globe

We Put the Hilarity in Charity - February 7, 2015 at Syberg's on Market. Don't miss out; register soon!

In February 2015, just in time for Valentine’s Day, an estimated 30,000 runners in 38 cities across the country, including St. Louis, as well as participants in Australia, will be braving the cold … in just their undies. Since the inception of the Cupid’s Undie Run in 2010, the non-profit has donated nearly $5,000,000 to the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF), with 100% of fundraising dollars going to the Foundation.

“In 2010, we never could have imagined the success of this event,” co-founder Bobby Gill has said. Funds raised help CTF get one step closer to finding a cure for neurofibromatosis, or NF.

St. Louis Cupid’s Undie Run participants will run a “brief” one-mile race in their bedroom best on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 to raise money for CTF. Runners spend months prior to the race fundraising and then celebrate in their accomplishments on race day.

The Children’s Tumor Foundation encourages and supports research and the development of treatments and cures for neurofibromatosis, a neurological genetic disorder which can lead to disfigurement, blindness, deafness, skeletal abnormalities, dermal, brain, and spinal tumors, loss of limbs, malignancies and learning disabilities.

St. Louis Race Director, Heather Riley, has a personal interest in the success of the Cupid’s Undie Run program. Mrs. Riley lost her eight-year-old daughter, Nicole, earlier this year to complications from NF. “Nicole was an incredibly strong and brave little girl who battled fiercely against many challenges due to NF. Although, she was almost always smiling and ready for adventure, she had to endure more in her young life than anyone should ever have to. She is our inspiration to continue this battle and the reason we fight this fight.”
