Dining Nearby: Clayton’s Araka Being Replaced With Steakhouse

Araka is closing its doors this spring, and a steakhouse is already eyeing its space, according to information in St. Louis Magazine.

Customers can still dine at Araka through March 9, the magazine reports, before it undergoes a major renovation to become 801 Chophouse.

The restaurant opened in 2007, according to Riverfront Times’ Gut Check blog, but battled closing rumors throughout 2012.
