Dr. John Daniels of Washington University Pens First Novel

The Intern is a medical thriller about life in the hospital and beyond

Dr. John S. Daniels, a practicing physician in internal medicine and endocrinology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, has written a book that will appeal to all readers.

As an associate clinical professor of medicine at Washington University, Daniels has previously authored a number of papers for medical texts and research journals. However, this is his first venture as a writer of novels.

“I wanted to write a book about an intense love between two men that could appeal to the general population,” said Dr. Daniels. “I also aimed to relate a sense of what it is like training to become a physician.”
