Duke University Honors Villa Duchesne Middle Schoolers

12 seventh graders outscored most high school graduates around the country.

Twelve middle school students at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School received state recognition this school year in Duke University's Talent Identification Program (TIP).

The following Villa Duchesne seventh graders scored at or above the national average for high school graduates taking the ACT or SAT: Madeline Cargill, Ella Clark, Mary L'Hommedieu, Abby Host, Lauren Jaeger, Jessica Lauer, Catherine O’Leary, Emma Paletta, Kai Radford, Nicole Tajkarimi, Devon Waskiewicz, and Harper Wieldt.

In addition, Madeline Cargill received grand recognition for scoring higher than 90 percent of high school graduates. Duke TIP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving academically gifted and talented students.
