Fur: The Hottest Fashion Find of the Season

In every department store or fashion boutique across the nation and certainly along Clayton Road, it is all about the furry stuff.

For those of you who love the look and feel of authentic fur, you will find abundance this season, which may pose a bit of a conundrum for animal lovers, vegans and those who would rather not lay down a lot of green for fashion.

No doubt fur is luxurious and makes every outfit more fabulous and every female look more feminine, but there are alternatives to authentic fur. This season, there are many faux fur options that look close to the real thing, but costs much less, are very stylish and will keep PETA off your tail.

Young hipster designers bring us fun, fur fashion this season using real and faux in new and creative ways. Top trendsetters for the young or young-at-heart are fox and mink dyed in bright, bold colors such as blue, purple, red, hot pink, yellow and teal. You will find these colorful alternatives in vests, purses, shoes, coats, hats and ear muffs. But, if bold color is not your thing, no worries, natural fur, gray, white and black never go out of style and are readily available this year.

Another new fashion find this season: full-fur pants, shorts and skirts. Try on a pair of pants—you may surprise yourself and walk away wearing them.
