Home Made Explosives Found in Ladue Mailboxes

Ladue police received two calls with similar reports of residents finding small explosive devices. One of the devices exploded, according to investigators.

August 15:

At 8:01 a.m., police received a suspiciousΒ activityΒ call from theΒ 9800 block of Litzsinger Road. It was a delayed report of a resident finding a small "improvised incendiary device" placed in mail box during the previous evening. It reportedlyΒ exploded and damaged mail. Police are still investigating.

At 10:21 a.m., police received a suspicious activity call fromΒ Lindworth Lane whre a homeowner found aΒ small "improvised incendiary device" inside the mail box. Police are still investigating.
