Benefit for Joplin at Red Lion, Thursday Night

Come to the Red Lion, in Maplewood, to hear some good music and help out the folks hit by the tornado.

It's A Jam for Joplin! Come to the Red Lion, in Maplewood, this Thursday night at 8 p.m. for some hot tunes to benefit the folks hit by the tornado. There's no cover, donations will be accepted. A portion of the bar sales will go to the cause as well.

Red Lion owner, Barry Strange, said Phil Wright of the Lightnin' Bottle Band, called him up and told him to hold the benefit. "Absolutely we'll do it!" Strange said. "It should be a good time, with Jake's Leg," he said.

Funds will go to the Heart of Missouri United Way Joplin relief effort. A Missouri family has pledged to match donations up to $50,000! Help out our fellow Missourians by partying with great music all night. Bring your checkbooks or your wallet and donate what you can. Any amount will be appreciated.
