One Week in the Life of THE Ice Arena
Brentwood Ice Arena is open and busy! Join us this summer for one (or more) of our awesome activities. Don't know how to skate? We've got a class for that.
On the 1st Day the Rink Opened…
opened at 6 am on May 29th and there were many figure skaters who were happy to be back on “home ice”. Lori Hunter and her daughter Penelope were some of our first patrons. Penelope, along with her coach Lynn Kezar, enjoyed freestyle time.

The ice arena hosted our first public sessions of the new season. The public showed up! Residents and non-residents alike enjoyed their return to the ice.

More freestyle skaters, ice dancers and coaches used the freestyle sessions which last from 6am – 2pm. They noticed that the ice had improved, even from Tuesday, the first day.
On the 4th Day
There were Stick & Puck sessions at 6-8 am then from noon until 6:45 pm, and there were hockey players who enjoyed themselves, practicing many hours of hockey.
On the 5th Day
There were ice rentals, Rockets Hockey Youth Hockey and more, Stick & Puck, Training Session, Public Session, and the beginning of Summer Adult Novice Hockey League. Many people skated.
On the 6th Day
There was a lot of hockey… the return of BHL Intermediate Hockey League. Woo-hoo!
On the 7th Day
There was Coffee Club. The skaters in Coffee Club are the Senior Set, over 50 years old and they know a good thing when they see it! It may take a lot to impress some of these skaters. They have been around the rinks a time or two. We always draw them back to Brentwood with great ice, good coffee and phenomenal company.
In the evening of the 7th day, Learn to Skate Summer session began. We have transitioned to the Skate with US program. Our instructors are excited to get everyone up and skating.
If you ever thought we weren’t busy, this is a short summary of our week. BUT we can fit you in! It Is A Cool Way To Spend the Summer, You Can Join Us!
