is now offering zumba classes, led by MRH gym teacher and girls soccer coach Amber Godfrey. The classes began at the beginning of October and occur every Wednesday after school. The classes are about an hour long and cost $5 each.

“The purpose of these classes is to incorporate physical activities in the staff members' lives. It is also to help support health and body awareness,” said Godfrey.

The Wellness Committee requested that Godfrey give the classes to the staff for the opportunity to work out at school for a low price. According to Godfrey, the class incorporates aerobics, kick boxing and Latin/African dance.

Although the classes are currently for staff members only, MRH students appear interested in the Zumba class.

“As silly as it sounds to exercise by dancing around and doing aerobics, it is actually very fun and a good way to get exercise without running or weight lifting,” said senior Amanda Williams.
