Should you date your best friend's ex?

Well, it depends.  Is your buddy over her or not? Because if he is not, and sees you everywhere with the love of his life, that could cost you your friendship. But if he has moved on and is on friendly terms with her than yes, of course.

I'm not saying you need your friend's blessing to date his former flame. But you don't want to rub salt in old wounds either. You know if she is "the one who got away" or someone he was never that into to begin with.

The question you need to ask yourself is, which is more important, a potential relationship with this woman or a friendship with a person who you have a lot of history with? Remember, girls come and go, but a really good friendship could last forever.

I have seen women and men drop their pals for a relationship that quickly fizzled. The friends usually taken them back. But if you drop your buddy for a romance that may or may not work out, will he take you back, especially if you have just stomped all over his heart? Only you can answer that.
