All ages are invited to test their boat-building skills with this activity. Participants will build a boat from corrugated cardboard and duct tape, then decorate it. Glue or caulk may be used on the seams and oars can be made of material other than cardboard. Two people, wearing life preservers, must be in the boat during the race. All boats are human powered, no motors. A minimum of 10 registered boats are needed or the regatta will be canceled. Participants must haul away the boat or boat remains, after the event. A dumpster is nearby.
Awards will be given in the following categories: Fastest Boat, Best Decorated, Titanic Award and the People’s Choice Award.
