Houlihan's Partners with O Wines to Fund College Scholarships and Offers a Chance to Win a Trip to Washington Wine Country

Houlihan’s, an upscale American restaurant and bar franchise, is working with its wine-loving fans to give back to women in need. The restaurant franchise has partnered withO Wines, ‘O’ standing for opportunity, where with each case sold at participating Houlihan’s locations, O Wines will help fund college scholarships for low income, young women through its Opportunity for Success Scholarship program.

As part of the campaign, customers can enter to win the Wine 101 Washington Wine County sweepstakes that includes airfare and a two-night culinary educational trip for two to Seattle. The winner will enjoy wine tastings with a Master Sommelier, culinary educational tours of Pike Place Market, dinner at The Space Needle with the O Wines founder Stacy Lill, and receive $500 spending money.

According to the College Success Foundation, low-income students are 32 times less likely to graduate from college compared to high-income students which is why it’s so important to provide more scholarship opportunities. Women who hold a bachelor’s degree can expect to earn 68% more per year than women with a high school diploma, and that’s why Houlihan’s is determined to find ways to provide these young women with the financial foundation to pursue their education, regardless of circumstances at home.
