So said MRH Superintendent Dr. Bonita Jamison after getting a quick spin in one of four new school buses which operate on propane gas. The District's fleet of eight buses is all-new for 2021-2022. Half use propane; half use regular gasoline. MRH leases its buses from Central States and all drivers are MRH employees.

MRH contracts with Amerigas, which actually comes to the District bus lot for refueling.

School districts across the nation are switching to propane autogas buses for the lowest total cost-of-ownership available. Propane is a safe alternative fuel both for the environment and for the children who ride in propane-powered school buses.
