All clinics will be held from 8 a.m. – noon except for St. Joseph Hospital - St. CharlesΒ  which takes place from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Anyone above 9 years of age is eligible toΒ  receive a vaccine; the Cardinal Glennon clinic will vaccinate ages 6 months and above.Β

Vaccinations are available by injection only. All vaccinations will be preservative-free.Β  No high-dose vaccines will be available. No appointments are necessary. ParticipantsΒ  should wear loose-fit clothing. Flu shots will be given on a first-come, first-served basisΒ  and are available while supplies last.Β

For those unable to get vaccinated at one of the free clinics, SSM Health Medical GroupΒ  is holding separate drive-thru flu clinics every Saturday from Sept. 18 – Nov. 6 at five St.Β  Louis-area locations. To schedule an appointment, go online to the SSM HealthΒ  MyChart platform or call us at 314-955-9600. You may also visit us online atΒ  http://www.ssmhealth.com/access/now/ to schedule a visit with a physician’s office orΒ  SSM Health Urgent Care.Β

According to the Centers for Disease Control, an annual seasonal flu vaccination is theΒ  best way to reduce chances of being diagnosed with influenza or spreading it to others. It’s even more important this year with the COVID-19 virus’ continued spread in theΒ  community. While the flu vaccine does not protect you from COVID-19, both virusesΒ  affect the respiratory system and can be deadly.Β

Anyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask to receive the flu vaccine. Those receivingΒ  the flu vaccine must NOT be COVID positive, under Investigation for COVID, currentlyΒ  in quarantine for COVID exposure or have any symptoms of COVID.Β
