You can't judge a book by its cover! When I was handed the book, my first reaction was, "When will I find time to read this novel?" I'm happy to point out that the book is a quick read and it is captivating! Brian Selznick turns the idea and form of a novel upside down with his novel, The Invention of Hugo Cabret. He makes it a wonderful reading experience and truly unique with 284 original drawings that tell the story as much as the words do.
