May 20

• A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the 7300 block of Manchester. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.

May 23

• An officer on patrol stopped two people in the 2000 block of Yale Avenue who were drinking alcoholic beverages in public. One of them, a 23-year-old man, had a controlled substance, and was arrested for a drug violation. He was also discovered to be an illegal immigrant, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted and a detainer was issued.

• Two women, 18 years old and 24 years old, were arrested for shoplifting approximately $350 in goods from a Maplewood Commons business. The 24-year-old woman also had drug paraphernalia, and was charged for that.
