Saint Louis Symphony Picture the Music

Saint Mary Magdalen student Lilly W. was recognized on Wednesday, February 25 at Powell Symphony Hall for her artistic interpretation of Beethoven’s 6th Symphony-Fourth Movement. Miss Audrey Corby, art teacher at Saint Mary Magdalen, entered Lilly’s work into the Picture the Music Program through the Saint Louis Symphony.

The Picture the Music Program encourages creativity of students in Kindergarten through 6th grade to use their artistic interpretations in painting, drawing or coloring in response to a specific selection of symphony music.

After all entries were received, judges reviewed them and the top 100 finalists were chosen. The art work will be part of a traveling exhibition appearing at several locations across the Saint Louis area.
