Saint Mary Magdalen Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

Today, three-time Emmy winning storyteller Bobby Norfolk visited Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School. Bobby has been a professional entertainer since 1971. His natural talent combined with a background in theatre and comedy has made him one of the top storytellers in the country. We were very lucky to have him at our school.

Bobby promotes character education traits such as: respect responsibility, honesty, teamwork, cooperation, compassion and self esteem. He brought theses lessons to our school today and provided the students with a way to learn while simultaneously having fun.

Bobby says, “I tell stories to see the happiness and joy that can be shared through the oral tradition.”  It was evident by laughter and smiles that Bobby Norfolk is a master storyteller, and that the children from Jr.K through 8th grade enjoyed this special Catholic Schools Week Activity.
