Megan McKenna Mejia honored as the 2015 Distinguished Graduate at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School
The Distinguished Graduate Award honors a Graduate of Catholic Elementary School who has made a contribution to American Life and the Catholic Church. The Distinguished Graduate Award is offered yearly through the NCEA; The National Catholic Education Association. It is presented by the Saint Mary Magdalen School Board during Catholic Schools Week.!
Last Friday during the all school Mass, Saint Mary Magdalen honored their Distinguished Graduate for 2015. Megan McKenna Mejia, a 1998 graduate of Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School, was honored for giving great service to the less fortunate. Among her numerous charitable works, Megan has spent time working on an Indian Pueblo in New Mexico and in a village in El Salvador and teaching in a school in Honduras. We are proud of all of Megan’s accomplishments and congratulate her on this very special award!
