The Crow's Nest Restaurant to Open Soon

Maplewood's newest restaurant will move into the spot left vacant by The Red Lion's closing.

Downtown Maplewood will have a new restaurant very soon.

Last Tuesday, Maplewood City Council approved paperwork to allow to open The Crow's Nest in the spot on Manchester Road left vacant by in August. He expected the store to open sometime this week.

“It’s been a super-streamlined process,” McLaughlin said. “It’s been really good for us. We’re really excited to get going.”

McLaughlin already operates The Bleeding Deacon in south St. Louis. He said the fare at The Crow’s Nest will be similar, but more cutting edge.

He described it as “innovative comfort food, new American stuff. It’s similar to what we do in the place on the south side, but we’re going to try and be a little more innovative.”

The Crow's Nest will also have a good beer selection with many available on tap, McLaughlin said.
