Community Corner

VOYCE

VOYCE is hosting its 2014 Changing Landscape of Long-Term Care Conference following two years of success with bringing this educational forum to the long-term care community.

The need for long-term care continues to grow as the baby boomer population ages.  Estimates show that 70% of those age 65 and older will need long-term care. (U.S. DHHS)  By 2030, 71.5 million Americans will enter this age group (Haber, 2007).  During the last 10 years, the landscape for long-term care services has grown dramatically, resulting in numerous long-term care options for both in the home and in community settings.  As service options expand and adapt to meet the pressing need, financing this care remains a top concern  —  which makes access to education and information for this rapidly growing population all the more critical.

If you are interested in attending this all-day conference to help individuals, families and professionals understand the trends in long-term care, please go to www.voycestl.org, click Events and click Long Term Care Workshop to register and check event details.
